THE TEXAS VENTURE ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER:

The Austin Venture Fest has become an initiative of the Texas Venture Association, a venture advocacy group at the Texas State Capitol. While headquartered in Austin, this resource periodically features Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, and El Paso.

Austin Chamber of Commerce Highlights Startup Stats via US Census Bureau on Blog

The SVP of Global Tech & Innovation at the Austin Chamber, Roland Pena, shared some startup stats: Austin ranks 5th among the 50 largest metros in startup density, with 194 per 100,000 population, which is 144% of the national rate.
